Services
Renewable Fuel Certification Services, LLC offers review and written verification of renewable fuel facilities as required by the Renewable Fuel Standard. Unlike a renewable fuel producer’s plant designer or internal engineering staff, our company has no financial interest in the outcome of the verification of any facility. This is an important EPA requirement for verification. To further eliminate any question of conflict, we do not offer design or consulting services. Our only service is to verify our customers’ representations about their facilities. To verify a facility, we need the following information in some form:
- Product type including D Code identification and co-products.
- Feedstock list.
- Process narrative description with reference to Process Flow Diagram(s), General Arrangement Drawing(s), and Heat and Material Balance(s).
- Statement of renewable fuel production capacity for identified product/feedstock combinations.
- Process energy sources list with utility capacities.
- For a producer of renewable fuel with a facility that commenced construction on or before December 19, 2007:
A. Facility location.
B. Record of costs of additions, replacements, and repairs inclusive of labor costs conducted at the facility since December 19, 2007.
C. Estimated facility life.
D. A discussion of any economic or technical limitations the facility may have in using a fuel production pathway that will achieve a 20 percent reduction in GHG as compared to baseline fuel.
